A pair of Walking Ware milk jugs. These two examples were made at Lustre Pottery by Roger Michell in 1988 and decorated by Danka Napiorkowska.
Roger and Danka had originally designed the Walking Ware range and subsequently marketed items from the range famously through Carlton Ware in the 1970s and early 1980s. The examples shown are a few of a small number made after Carltonware had closed their Pottery, and have the advantage of being handmade Lustre Pottery studio examples and with variant sock decorations. Some glaze cracking.
