A pair of Carlton Ware Walking Ware 'Big Foot' book-ends, designed by Roger Michell for Carlton Ware and Lustre Pottery and produced in the late 1970s - early 1980s. These are scarce items from a scarce series.This example has red polka dot shoes on one bookend and yellow polka dot shoes on the other. The titles on the spines read respectively - "The Good Lollipop Guide" and "How To Get The Best From Your Grownups" They both bear the combined backstamp for CarltonWare and Lustre Pottery towards the base of each book's spine - in emulation of a publisher's mark. Perfect condition.
