Child's ceramic coffee can, decorated with a transfer print from Florence Upton's "The Adventures of Two Dutch Dolls and a Golliwog". This example, bearing the "Caduceus" mark of Powell, Bishop and Stonier is extremely rare, dating from the late 1880s (see - pages 43 and 73 "Gifts for Good Children" part 2 by Maureen Batkin - published by Richard Dennis.). A hairline has been sympathetically restored, otherwise in excellent condition
