Paragon Tinker Tailor Series Cup by Louis Wain - (Sold)

A scarce Paragon (adult sized) tea cup bearing an illustration by Louis Wain on the front of a cat triming his whiskers with a pair of scissors, and with the caption "A Morning Trim" and the facsimile signature of Louis Wain. On the reverse is another of his charming illustrations of two cats in a bed.
It's very unusual to find this shaped larger sized tea cup being used for the "Tinker Tailor Series" created for Paragon by Louis Wain. Most generally the smaller cups and mugs with straight sides were used for this and other Paragon children's series.
The cup is marked to base with the Paragon Star mark and "PARAGON CHINA ENGLAND Tinker Tailor Series". This cup is also marked to base with "6069" (This number frequently found on other designs in the Tinker Tailor Series.)
Condition is excellent, with little or no wear and with no damage or restoration.
